Building a successful mediation or collaborative practice requires more than strong conflict-resolution skills—it calls for clarity of purpose, intentional design, and a business model aligned with your values. Mosten Mediation Training’s Building Your Own Mediation Practice is a two-day advanced training designed for mediators and collaborative professionals who want to grow a financially sustainable, values-based practice while maintaining balance and professional fulfillment.
Led by Forrest “Woody” Mosten, this highly interactive program helps participants develop their unique peacemaking signature—the integration of mindset, skills, and service offerings that distinguishes their work in the marketplace. Participants explore how a peacemaking paradigm shift can improve outcomes for families while also supporting long-term professional satisfaction and profitability.
The training focuses on practice design and growth, including collaborative and interdisciplinary models, client-centered and limited-scope offerings, unbundled services, and effective client consultation strategies. Through real-world examples and practical tools, participants learn how to structure mediation and collaborative services that meet clients where they are while supporting ethical, flexible, and humane dispute resolution.
Day Two moves into advanced tools for practice resilience and expansion, including marketing strategies, niche development, strengthening one’s online presence, creative use of participation agreements, confidentiality considerations, and flexible collaborative models. The course concludes with a guided strategic planning process designed to help participants translate learning into immediate action—aligning mission, branding, and service delivery for professional success in 2026 and beyond.
This training is ideal for mediators, attorneys, coaches, and collaborative professionals who want to reignite their passion, sharpen their business strategy, and build a practice that reflects their deepest professional values—without sacrificing sustainability or balance.
