Lara Traum Esq. is an experienced mediator, collaborative attorney, and parenting coordinator who brings a unique blend of legal knowledge, conflict-resolution depth and cultural fluency to her work with families, professionals and organizations. PeaceChord LLC blends experiential training, conflict-prevention strategies, and community building to foster environments where collaboration and peace thrive.
Lara’s leadership extends beyond her practice and training roles. She served as President of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation, is an attorney-member of the Long Island Collaborative Divorce Professionals, and has authored and co-authored numerous articles and books on mediation and collaborative law (including two ABA books with Woody Mosten – Effectively Representing Clients in Family Mediation and Family Lawyer as Peacemaker).
Lara’s unique background includes a former life as a choral conductor and soprano soloist performing at major New York venues—a passion that informs her collaborative ethos and the “harmony-centered” mindset she brings to her work. Fluent in Russian and based in Queens (a global mosaic of languages and cultures), Lara brings deep cultural awareness and sensitivity to cross-cultural families and complex international matters.

Dr. Robin M. Deutsch is a clinician, consultant, mediator, parenting coordinator, and expert witness based in Newton, MA. She is Board Certified in Couple and Family Psychology and served as President of the American Board of Couple and Family Psychology (2021–2022).
She founded and directed the Center of Excellence for Children, Families and the Law and the Certificate in Child and Family Forensic Issues at William James College, where she is now a retired professor. Previously, she served for over 20 years as Director of Training and Forensic Services in the Children and the Law Program at Massachusetts General Hospital and was an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology at Harvard Medical School.
Robin is a cofounder of Overcoming Barriers and has taught internationally on parent–child contact problems, co-parenting, high-conflict dynamics, and parenting coordination. She has authored numerous articles and co-authored 7 Things Your Teenager Won’t Tell You and co-edited Overcoming Parent-Child Contact Problems.
She has held multiple leadership roles, including President of AFCC (2008–2009), and contributed to key APA and AFCC professional guidelines. Her work has been recognized with several major awards, including the APA Karl F. Heiser Presidential Award (2006), the Massachusetts Psychological Association Career Contribution Award (2017), and the AFCC John E. Van Duzer Distinguished Service Award (2018).

Ron Ousky has worked in family law since his graduation from the University of Minnesota law School in 1982. Since that time, ron has become recognized as an international leader in developing innovative ways to help family law clients. he is a past president of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and Minnesota’s Collaborative Law Institute. In 2015, Ron was awared the Lawyer as Problem Solver Award by the American Bar Association.
In 2006, Ron co-authored The Collaborative Way to Divorce: The Revolutionary Method that Results in Less Stress, Lower Costs, and Happier Kids, Without Going to Court with Stu Webb, the founder of Collaborative Law. Ron has had the opportunity to speak at many events and forums on the topic of Collaborative Law and has conducted trainings throughout North America, South America, and Europe. Bill Eddy is a therapist (12 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker), lawyer (15 years as a Certified Family Law Specialist), and mediator (15 years as the Senior Family Mediator at the National Conflict Resolution Center in San Diego). He is the co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of the High Conflict Institute based California and Arizona. Mr. Eddy provides training worldwide on the subject of high-conflict personalities to lawyers, mediators, judges, mental health professionals, human resources, and others. He has presented in over 35 states and ten countries, and has trained over 200,000 professionals on understanding and managing high conflict disputes.
