A Transformational Journey: From Clinician to Mediator & Peacemaker
I am beyond grateful to announce the completion of the Mosten Mediation Training—a life-changing journey that has deepened my understanding of conflict resolution and redefined my role as both a clinician and now, a clinical mediator.

As a Nigerian-American, I grew up in a culture where conflict was often met with silence, suppression, or escalation. Healthy resolution was not modeled, and generational wounds often went unaddressed. These experiences shaped my perspective, impacting not only the individual but the entire family system and the broader community. This training has given me the tools to transform conflict into an opportunity for healing and growth—not just in my professional work but in how I engage with the world.
As a clinician-turned-mediator, I have spent years supporting individuals navigating trauma, emotional distress, and relational pain. Through this training, I now see mediation as an extension of healing—where conversations replace courtrooms and where resolution becomes a tool for restoration, not just agreement. This course has elevated my skills, allowing me to bridge the gap between mental health and conflict resolution, fostering peace in families, communities, and professional spaces.
To my illustrious cohort of world-changing mediators—it has been an absolute honor to learn and grow alongside such a diverse, passionate, and brilliant group of individuals. Your dedication to this work inspires me, and I look forward to continued collaboration as we step into our roles as peacemakers, healers, and bridge-builders.
As we move forward, I leave you with these words:
The Mediator’s Path (Original Poem by Kathryn Alabi)
We are the voices that steady the storm,
The hands that mend what fear has torn.
Not warriors clad in steel or might,
But builders crafting paths to light.
We do not demand, we do not decree,
We open the door and offer the key.
With listening hearts and guiding grace,
We make room for truth to take its place.
We stand where lines are sharply drawn,
Where silence lingers, heavy, long.
But where there’s conflict, there’s also space—
For healing, for justice, for love’s embrace.
So as we go, let’s boldly stand,
With wisdom’s touch in heart and hand.
For peace is not just a dream or chance—
It’s the work we do, the lives we enhance.
This journey has been nothing short of transformative, and I am forever changed. I look forward to continuing this work, not only in the mental health field but in the broader community, wheremediation and healing intersect to create lasting impact.
To everyone at Mosten Mediation, APFM, and my incredible cohort, thank you for this experience. This is just the beginning!
