The Online Mediation Training Task Force recently completed several months of study, review, public forums and more to determine trends in online mediation and online mediation training with an eye to making recommnedations regarding best practices going forward.⠀
⠀
Task Force Chair, Forrest “Woody” Mosten and Jim Melamed have been reviewing the reports posted by the Task Force Committees, including those prepared by Family and Elder and Marketing Committee Chair, Susan Guthrie, to create a final report and recommendations. One thing that has become very clear, is that online mediation and online training are here to stay!⠀
⠀
In fact, Woody recently commented that “Every mediator should take 3-5 Basic Trainings with different instructors. At least one of these trainings should be primarily focused on online mediation practice!”⠀
⠀
At @mostenguthrie, we include training speficit to online practice in each program we provide, and will be adding programs in Basic Online Mediation Training, Advanced Online Mediation Training and an Online Mediation Training Practicum led by Susan in the Fall!
